Clearhead's Interview with NBR: Fewer fruitbowls, more serious solutions to workplace wellbeing

NBR recently interviewed Dr. Angela Lim for their Entrepreneur series.

When asked if there might still be a barrier in understanding mental health, Angela answers:

"I think mental health is well socialised post-Covid, but there is room for a more nuanced discussion around psychosocial risk in organisations. Instead of a fluffy approach with fruit boxes in the kitchen or yoga classes, it's intentionally having visibility about how the work environment is affecting people's health. For example, being able to say 30% of your employees are burnt out because they don't have a say in decision-making, or they're not feeling very aligned with the company's purpose, or can't get work-life balance - then, being able to look at policies, processes, and reviewing the job design as a way of addressing these in a more systemic way."
