Clearhead's Wellbeing Themes 2025

Welcome to our calendar for 2025. These are the themes related to mental health that we will be focusing on this year. If there are any topics that you feel would benefit your team that aren't in the calendar, please feel free to reach out to [email protected] with any suggestions! Description: In January, we'll focus on the journey of self-improvement and empowerment. Personal growth is about discovering and developing your potential, learning from challenges, and continuously evolving to become the best version of yourself. As we start the year off with a clean slate, we'll cover how to set meaningful goals and how to tell whether or not you're on the right path.

Webinar Topic: For the topic of personal growth, we are aiming to find a webinar speaker who can speak on career progression and finding purpose.

Key Dates in January:
• New Year's Day - Wednesday, 1st January
• International Day of Education, Friday 24th January

Description: In February, in line with Waitangi Day, we'll focus on Māori mental health and share information on the ways that Māori are disproportionately impacted by mental health challenges. We'll dive into the Te Whare Tapa Whā model, which views wellbeing as a whare supported by four key pillars: taha tinana (physical health), taha hinengaro (mental health), taha whānau (family and social relationships), and taha wairua (spiritual health).

Webinar Topic: For the topic of Māori models of health, we want to focus on breaking down a Te Whare Tapa Whā approach to wellbeing.

Description: In March, we'll focus on psychosocial safety and workplace wellbeing, so that leaders and employees alike know how to foster a culture where individuals feel valued, supported, and empowered. We'll also touch on organisational strategy, PRSM and how to use wellbeing tools to make a tangible difference in the workplace.

Webinar Topic: For the topic of psychosocial safety, we want to focus on workplace wellbeing and creating a safe environment for your staff as managers and HR.

Zero Discrimination Day - Saturday, 1st March
International Women's Day - Saturday, 8th March
Neurodiversity Celebration Week - 17th- 23rd March (NZ)
National Close the Gap Day - Thursday 20th March (AUS)

Description: In April, we'll focus on neurodivergence, celebrating the diverse ways in which brains function and process information. Neurodivergence encompasses a range of conditions, such as autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and others.

Webinar Topic: For the topic of neurodivergence, we want to focus on sharing information about autism and its role in an individual's mental health, as well as honing in on how to navigate autism in the workplace.

• ANZAC Day - Friday, 25th April
• World Day for Safety and Health at Work - Monday, 28th April

Description: May is Women's health month, so we've chosen to focus on the rewarding yet challenging journey of parenting to build on topics that came up during last year's Menopause webinar.

Webinar Topic: For the topic of parenting, we want to focus on parental leave and how to navigate big life transitions after having a child, e.g. returning to work.

• National Sorry Day + Reconciliation Week - Monday, 26th May - 3rd June (Various, AUS)

Description: Our most logged mood on the Clearhead platform is "Fine." Building on our press release, "Fine Is Not an Emotion," in June we want to focus on how we can move beyond 'fine' and into more authentic joy and happiness.

Webinar Topic: For this topic, we want to focus on sharing actionable tips on how to move from surviving to thriving.

Matariki - Friday, 20th June (NZ)

Description: In July, we'll address the impact of misinformation and the negative news cycle on our wellbeing. In an era where information spreads rapidly, distinguishing between fact and fiction can be challenging, and the constant barrage of negative news can contribute to anxiety and stress. This month, we’ll explore how to critically evaluate sources and protect our mental health, so we can learn how to stay informed and safe online without becoming overwhelmed.

Webinar Topic #1: For the topic of critical thinking, we want to focus on dealing with misinformation and negativity online, cyber safety, and how to not get overwhelmed by the news cycle.

Webinar Topic #2: During NAIDOC week, we also want to focus on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' approach to mental health.

Key Dates in July:
NAIDOC Week - 6th-12th July (AUS)

Description: In August, we’ll focus on the quality of leadership and the attitudes that managers can bring to the table to uplift, inspire, and empower others, sharing techniques and insights from our experience as an EAP provider.

Webinar Topic: For the topic of leadership, we want to focus on working from home. In this session we want to cover how employees can stay connected while working from home, and how managers can help to improve this experience.

Key Dates in August:
Women's Health Week - 11th-17th August

Description: In September, we'll dive into how pain can be both a physical and emotional challenge, majorly affecting people's quality of life. We'll discuss how best to manage pain, how to maintain hope even when we know our pain will not necessarily improve, how to manage taking medications and the emotional impact of dealing with side effects, and finding a community who understands.

It's also Mental Health Awareness Month, so we will continue to share more general content, alongisde resources for Mental Health Awareness Week.

Webinar Topic: For the topic of pain management, we want to focus on how to cope with chronic pain, "invisible pain," or health conditions that impact your daily quality of life.

Te Wiki o te Reo Māori - 15th-22nd September
Mental Health Awareness Week (Dates TBC)

Description: In October, we’ll focus on understanding and managing anxiety and depression, which are the two most common mental health challenges affecting people according to our Clearhead data. This month, we’ll explore the symptoms, causes, and impact of these conditions, while also offering practical strategies for coping and seeking support.

Webinar Topic: For the topic of anxiety and depression, we want to focus on how an individual can navigate these conditions, and how common these experiences can be.

•  World Mental Health Day - Friday, 1oth October

Description: For the topic of trauma recovery, we want to focus on hope, resilience, and not letting the past negatively impact the future.

Webinar Topic: For the topic of trauma recovery, we want to focus on the experience of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, and how we can best manage this condition to rebuild our lives after experiencing after traumatic incidents at home or at work.

International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women - Tuesday, 25th November

Description: In December, we’ll focus on the importance of setting and maintaining healthy family boundaries. This is especially important as families gather together for the holidays and need to co-exist in closer environments than usual. We'll dive into how boundaries are essential for respect, understanding, and balance within family dynamics, and give information about how to set these boundaries.

Webinar Topic: For the topic of family boundaries, we want to focus on setting boundaries, navigating big events during the holiday season, and how to know when/how to cut people out of your life as a last resort.
