Counsellor
Specialised support for
Break Up, Childhood Trauma, Chronic Stress, Communication Skills, Empowerment

As a dedicated and compassionate counsellor, I am passionate about helping individuals navigate their emotional and psychological challenges. With many of experience in the field, I specialise in various areas including depression, self esteem, assertiveness, and relationship issues. My educational background includes a Bachelor of Counselling. I employ a client-centered and integrative approach to counselling, combining elements of cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), mindfulness techniques, and psychodynamic principles. My goal is to create a safe and non-judgmental environment where clients can feel empowered to explore their thoughts and feelings, set goals, and develop effective coping strategies. I have worked in various settings, including private practice, schools – as a teacher, and community organisations, allowing me to gain a broad perspective on individual and group dynamics. In addition I have worked in a variety of other workplaces; e.g. farming, truck driving, management and hospitality – which gives me a broad range of knowledge about workplaces and the stresses involved. I believe in the importance of tailoring therapeutic interventions to meet the unique needs of each individual, and I am committed to continuous professional development to stay current with evidence-based practices. I am committed to fostering resilience and self-discovery in each client I work with. I believe that through understanding, support, and skill-building, individuals can overcome their challenges and lead fulfilling lives. I prioritise building strong therapeutic alliances based on trust and empathy, guiding clients on their journey toward healing and personal development. If you are seeking support or exploring the possibility of counselling, I invite you to reach out for a consultation. Together, we can work towards achieving your goals for a healthier and more balanced life I don’t keep my diary online so reach out to Clearhead and they will contact me, then we can arrange a meeting that suits you either online or face to face.
